comes home to take Friday night preliminary feature Friday night Paul McMahan had the opportunity he
has long awaited, he returned to his home track where the fans adore him and
applaud his presence. To top it off he battled with his formal friendly rival
DeCaires to post the victory for the second 30-lap preliminary event of the 50th
Anniversary Gold Cup Race of Champions. Saldana
and Kinser form front row tonight Following his victory on Thursday, Joey Saldana has earned the pole position for the 40-lap feature event with the King of the Outlaws Steve Kinser starting on the outside. Paul McMahan, winner of the Friday night program, starts in the seventh position while second place finisher Greg DeCaires starts eighth. Tim Kaeding, who finished second to Kinser in the
2002 Gold Cup will have his work cut out for him as he starts deep in the field
in the 15th position. Final
