Kinser
dominates Thursday A-feature
Heading
into the World of Outlaws California swing, series point leader Steve Kinser of
Bloomington, Indiana decided he would come into the Gold Cup Race of Champions
with a "great attitude" in hopes it may bring him success in the event
where a Saturday night victory has eluded him for a decade.

All
new Miss Gold Cup contest tonight
Last year may have been a bust, but this year to be bigger and better
With
one night of preliminary action in the history book its time for the non-racing
events to begin on the Silver Dollar Fairground. Tonight will be home to the highlight of
after-race activities with the Joe Hunt Magnetos/Les Schwab Tires Chili Festival
featuring the all new Miss Gold Cup Bikini contest, always a big hit in the
pavilion following tonight’s racing action.

Sohnrey Wins Race but
McDaniel is the Champion
Durham's Mike Sohnrey led all
twenty laps to capture his sixth main event of the year during the final
dirt modified race of the season at Silver Dollar Speedway on Wednesday
night. For Sohnrey the win was bitter sweet because his arch rival all
season long, Marysville's Randy McDaniel, finished second in the main event
and by doing so, McDaniel secured his fourth track championship at Chico.
