On behalf of John Padjen Motorsports and Silver Dollar Speedway we welcome all of you the the 49th annual Gold Cup Race of Champions, also known as "the fastest four days in California."

Four big days of racing ar on tap here at the Silver Dollar Fairground which will transform into a small city of recreational vehicles over the next four days as fans from all parts of the nation unite for a sport that truly portrays the American spirit - winged spring car racing !

Hoosier Tires Civil War series here tonight
Point leader Mike Henry headlines field of top 32 point runners in series
The Hoosier Racing Tires California Sprint Car Civil War Race Series swings back into action tonight with the crown jewel event of the 13-race campaign, the 5th annual Pacific Sprint Cup Invitational right here at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico.

This annual event features the top 32-drivers in the current series point standings and boasts more than $50,000 in winnings and contingencies. In addition to inflated purse, this event officially opens California’s biggest week in open week racing, kicking off the 4-day-long 49th Annual Gold Cup Race of Champions on the Silver Dollar Fairground and will be the 10th round of competition for the Hoosier Tires California Sprint Car Civil War Race Series.

McDaniel eyes Modified title tonight
For the final time this season the dirt modifieds will race at Silver Dollar Speedway on Wednesday night, September 4. Along with the California Sprint Car Civil War Series, the two divisions will prelude the 49th annual running of the Gold Cup Race of Champions. The top 22 drivers in the point standings will be on hand for this invitational only race.

Seating will be general admission during this night of racing and adult prices are $15.00. Juniors are $11.00 with children being $4.00. Front grandstand gates will open at 5 pm with sprint car qualifying slated to start at 6:30 pm. Racing for the dirt modifieds will start at 7 pm.
